I love J-hop
yeah...wouldn't you believe it ;p
I'm definitely not an expert on the subject but I can say that what I really love about the songs I've heard is the chillout feel about them. It's a very beachy sunset vibe I get from a very simple yet complex sounding music. Yeah I really don't quite know how to describe it. But although both guitar work and drumbeats sound complex to replicate, they both have a very simplistic feel to them. And when I find translations of the lyrics, I often am pleasantly surprised to find them meaningful and richly descriptive. Like this one
