The thing about them is they were created for convenience. It was so that the sender could send a msg to the receiver at anytime without fearing that they'll be imposing on that person at an inconvenient time, knowing that the receiver could 'receive' and reply the msg when it was convenient for him/her.
So if you're gonna be one of those idiots who always has your phone on 'loud' mode even when you don't want to be disturbed by it, then bitch about people sending you msgs at that time, i.e. when you're sleeping, well it's your bloody fault isn't it? That's why they have silent mode you dumb fuck
